Methylene Chloride is a man-made chemical that is formulated out of methane gas and wood alcohol. Methylene Chloride is a colorless liquid that is primarily used as a solvent. It has a sweet scent and it is used in a variety of aerosol products and paint thinners. In this day and age almost everyone is exposed to Methylene Chloride in some shape or form, since Methylene Chloride can be found in the air we breathe, the food we eat and the products that we purchase. Methylene Chloride can even be found in drinking water. Methylene Chloride does not dissolve in water and it can be easily absorbed into a person's skin. Methylene Chloride is not harmful to humans in small amounts but it can be harmful in large quantities. Some ill effects people may experience if exposed to Methylene Chloride in large amounts are dizziness, headaches, and numbness in hands, nausea and unconsciousness.
